Mars Petcare Completes Acquisition of AniCura

AniCura becomes part of family of veterinary businesses

Brussels and Stockholm - November 27, 2018  –  Mars Petcare, part of Mars, Incorporated, today announced the successful completion of the AniCura acquisition. On June 11, 2018, Mars announced that it had entered into an agreement to acquire the family of well-known AniCura animal hospitals and clinics. On October 29, Mars obtained antitrust clearance from the European Commission, subject to the divestiture of AniCura’s procurement platform VetFamily.

As all closing conditions have now been fulfilled, AniCura has officially joined Mars Petcare’s family of veterinary care businesses alongside BANFIELD™, BLUEPEARL™, PET PARTNERS™, VCA™ and Linnaeus.

J.P. Morgan Securities plc acted as financial adviser and Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP and Cederquist acted as legal counsel to Mars.
