Supporting Relief Efforts in Syria and Türkiye

We are devastated by last week’s series of earthquakes that struck Syria and Türkiye, claiming the lives of more than 36,000 people, leaving tens of thousands more injured and causing widespread destruction of homes and infrastructure across the region that has already experienced tremendous hardship. We are truly thankful that all Mars Associates and their immediate families are safe and accounted for.

We’re working with our partners to mobilize resources to contribute to disaster relief efforts for people and pets, which includes in-kind support through food donations and financial support to global and local non-profit organizations.

We’re partnering with Save the Children International to provide shelter, food, winterization kits and child protection. Our partner at the Los Angeles County Fire Department Urban Search and Rescue Team and Search and Rescue Dogs have been deployed along with other Search and Rescue Dog Teams from across the world to help find victims of the earthquake amidst the rubble. For pets, we’ve provided a grant to the International Fund for Animal Welfare to help feed, shelter and care for owned, street and shelter animals.

We recognize that the impacts of the rescue and recovery phase in Türkiye and Syria will be long felt, and we will remain in touch with local teams, Associates and our partners to understand how we can help in the weeks and months to come.

While we are grateful for the safety of our Associates, we know thousands have lost loved ones across the region, and we mourn with them.
